Positive Energy

Kevin, Bruce, and DaveOne thing that makes for a good show for the audience is being able to see so obviously that the band is having a blast onstage, and there is no mistake that these guys have fun up there every night. Like Kevin says, there's all this positive energy it creates, and the audience sends it up to the stage, the band feels it, creates more positive energy, and sends it back to us, we build on that and send it back up to them, they send it back to us, we send it back to them - well you get the idea. It sounds much more exciting when Kevin says it from onstage!

Kevin and BryanThe show was great! The audience was up and down, standing for some songs, clapping and singing along during almost every song, and having a great time. During "Roll with the Changes", the crowd got to its feet and stayed there!

After REO's set, I went and talked to my friend Ruth again, and she said her brother's boss had gotten a backstage pass to go back and see Dave! He had wound up sitting in the row behind me, and during the show I saw Dave catch sight of him and recognize him - that was nice!

I also looked over at the two women I had seen before, in the Styx t-shirts, and there was another woman there who I thought I recognized - well I recognized the banner she was carrying, actually! It looked like the banner I had seen at the Tweeter Center show back in May (was that really less than six months ago?) and I found out later that it was - and that was Judi, with Linda and Edith! Sorry I didn't get over to talk to any of you - I didn't know I would be busy after the show!
