Almost
from the first moment Styx took the stage, everyone in the crowd was on their
feet. Sure, this meant people were now standing in front of me and
obscuring my view a little, but I don't care! YEAH, stand up, people! I can
peek between heads!
They played "Everything Is Cool" first as usual, and when they were all onstage and the lights blasted on, I held my "Welcome Home" sign up above my head. I had sort of made the sign with Tommy in mind, because I know he does tend to stop and read the signs and seems to get a kick out of them. My seat was over towards Lawrence and Glen's side of the stage though, so at first he was pretty far away from the sign. However, Glen did look up and see the sign, and he smiled and nodded at me. I held it up for a few seconds more, and JY turned his head and saw it, and took a second to read it. He smiled and gave me a little thumbs up. It's an understatement for me to say that THAT was a nice surprise - I had never expected JY to read the sign, but he definitely saw it! With all that excitement, I have no idea whether Tommy ever saw it or not - I never saw him see it, if he did. I held it up a couple more times during the show, but not for very long at once. That can get obnoxious to the people behind you, and I didn't want to block anyone!
