Bourgeois Pig

Before "Love is the Ritual," Glen pointed out that this was the last Friday night of the year, so we should get the New Year’s party started right away! He also introduced two very enthusiastic women who were front and center in the audience to the rest of us, as "the original Solid Gold dancers - cleavage and all!" Then he said, "I guess this next part has become a medley now." Before they kick into "Ritual," the band has recently been playing a few bars from a new song, "Bourgeois Pig," and they did that again tonight. What a teaser. This is a very heavy, vocally rich rocker that I can’t wait to hear all the way through! As far as I could tell, everyone except Todd was singing on this bit. I can’t be positive, because it’s hard to look everywhere at once! But it sounded fantastic!

Glen went out into the crowd during "Ritual," and finally more of the audience got up and rocked, if only for that moment! Next, they played "All I Want For Christmas," their song from the benefit CD "A Classic Rock Christmas." It sounded great live, and I was glad I got to hear that one performed!

As the show went on, some lingerie began to hit the stage! Helen tossed a pair of leopard print panties at Glen, who picked them up and put them on Tommy's guitar. Tommy played that guitar for a while, then switched for another song. Later, Jimmy brought the same guitar back out to him, and Tommy just stared - hanging off the end of the guitar was that same pair of panties! Tommy said, "This is how you know you have a good crew - the underwear is still there!"
