On with the show
The band sounded great, as always, and they looked like they were in a great mood and happy to be there. Before introducing "Lorelei," JY mentioned not quite being over the holidays, saying, "I feel like I’m still digesting my Christmas dinner, so thanks for making me get up here and do this!" Happy to help!
On the side of the stage where I was, the only ones standing up were me, Laura and Micky. That’s why I didn't touch my camera at first; I was very conscious of the fact that anyone (like security) looking toward the stage couldn’t help but see me! I thought for a second about sitting down temporarily while I took a picture, but rejected that idea. If I have to choose between sitting or getting no pictures, I’ll take no pictures every time! Later on I did try a few when the lights weren’t very bright. Considering the circumstances, they turned out okay!
Not long into the show, Laura asked me if I thought she could get between me and Micky, so I said sure, give it a try! We were across the table from each other, so Laura quietly climbed up and sat at the edge of the table between us, right up at the stage with her feet folded up under her! She was hoping no one would yell at her for sitting on the table, but unless they looked really closely, at a glance it just looked like the three of us were standing at the edge of the stage together. No one said anything, so either they didn’t notice or didn’t mind!
