So how was the show?
After a while everyone started to drift away. It was at least midnight, and we said good night to Cindy and Jerry, and Kelly, Debbie, Edith and I decided to go up to one of the restaurants and get something to eat. When we finished eating and were just sitting there laughing and talking, we saw Casey walking by. We waved at him and yelled "Casey!" and he smiled and waved back, and we called out, "Come on over!" He looked around, and where he was standing there was this brick wall, about a foot tall, with flowers on top of it, that was that went all the way around the seating area, and the entrance to the restaurant was around the corner. He called back, "How do I get in?" and we said "Just climb over!" So he did! He climbed over the planter and came over to our table, sat down with us and talked to us for about twenty minutes. The first thing he asked was, "So how was the show?" We were all still glowing about it and we said it was excellent - wonderful - and he laughed and said, "That's why I ask that question, I love people's reactions; their faces just change. Look, this one has her hand over her mouth and this one has the big eyes and this one has her hands up to her face," and he started imitating us one by one - it was hysterical! He said that's what makes it easier for him to be on the road all the time and away from his family; watching people get so much out of the show and seeing how happy it makes them. We had a nice talk with him, and after a little while he said good night and left us to go play poker!
We sat there for a little while longer, then decided we'd better get back to the hotel and finish packing up, so we left the casino about 2:30am! When Kelly and I got back to the hotel room, Karen was already there. We had decided earlier that it would be pointless to go to bed at all that night since we had to be at the airport for 6am flights, so we all changed clothes to try and pretend that it was a new morning and we hadn't just been up for 20 hours!
