Then finally... there they were! They did the whole opening production, letters and all, and that never fails to just blow me away. There was no sitting during this show - from the moment the lights went down, everyone was on their feet and rocking!
Kelly had several signs to hold up for the guys. Since this show was one day before the 25th anniversary of the release date of the Grand Illusion album, one of her signs read, "Happy 25th Anniversary Grand Illusion - 7/7/77 to 7/7/02." During Grand Illusion, she held that up for Tommy, and he read it, thought about it for a few seconds, then said, "Yeah, that's right!" Later on in the show, he mentioned the sign and the upcoming anniversary. It's hard to believe it's been that long - that album has held up to the years very well.
