Styx buttons!

Between shows, I gave away some more buttons! I had left all my Meadowbrook buttons in the car, but I had the ones with the new design from Susan(Lockgen)! Tom and Sandy came over to say hi from the other side of the front row, and I gave Tom buttons for them and their crew.

There were three security people who were around our section during the show. One was a young guy who was sitting in front of the stage at the end of the aisle, pretty much right in front of me. After the Kansas set, Kelly asked me, "Am I crazy, or doesn't that security guy in front of you look like someone?" I said, "You're right, he looks like Todd!" You wouldn't mistake the two for each other, but he did look like he could have been a cousin! From then on, we referred to him as "the Todd-looking security guy." Nice guy too!

As it got closer and closer to the show, another of the security people in front of us said to me, "You guys are really going to enjoy this next band."  Hmm... there we stood with our Styx buttons, shirts, gloves, signs... think maybe we knew that already? He seemed like he was excited too, so I asked him, "Are you a Styx fan?" He said, "That's the only reason I took this job!" Well, give that man a button! I had kind of decided at that point that I was going to try to take some pictures with my 35mm camera, but since I thought I might have an ally here, I asked him if cameras of any kind were going to be allowed. He hesitated, then said that with no flash, it would be okay. I never do use flash, so I was happy with that answer, and got my digital ready to go! Since it wasn't a wholehearted "Yes, cameras are fine," though, I made sure I took it easy on the amount of pictures I took. All three of the security people near us did see me taking pictures later and didn't seem to mind. The "Todd-looking" guy always seemed to turn his head when I put my camera up - I don't know if he was trying to pretend he didn't see me, or just didn't want to be in the picture!

Yes, I know I'm getting ahead of myself, but I just want to get the camera part of this story out of the way here. Once Styx hit the stage, it was not something I wasted time worrying about!
