There's a whole band up there!
Lately at the shows I've gone to, I have had such a run of incredible luck and have wound up extremely close to the stage. I certainly wasn't in the nosebleed section at this show either, but I was a bit farther back than usual, and it was amazing what that small change in perspective did! Instead of focusing on just one person at a time, I was able to watch most of the stage. It was kind of a shock to see the whole band at once! A pleasant shock though!

It was also fun to watch the "unlit" parts of the show! For instance, during Lawrence's piano solo at the beginning of "Lady," here's the spotlight view, and then a view of what's happening on the rest of the stage during the solo...
There was another very sweet thing that happened out of the spotlight; offstage, in fact. Four or five songs into the set, I saw a little girl go up to the stage, in front of the barricade, and throw a little toy bear up onto the stage. I wondered how she'd gotten up there, so I looked over and saw her turn back around, and Casey was right there. He took her hand and led her back over to the side so she could get back around to the seating area - he had taken her up there. I told him later that I had seen him help her, and he said that she had come up to his table crying, and he asked her why. She said she had tried to go up and throw the bear, but the security people had yelled at her and her father and wouldn't let her throw it. So he took her by the hand and brought her over in front of the stage so she could toss her gift, then brought her back. Her face was just shining; it made her so happy! I told Casey that it was very sweet of him to do that, and he just smiled said "yeah, well, you know..." but it was a very nice thing for him to do. I can't say enough nice things about everyone connected with this band.
