Something wonderful
Styx was able to do the entire stage setup at this show, so as the show started, up came the letters - S T Y X. The sound at the grandstand was amazing - loud enough to vibrate your fingernails, and yet crystal clear. Could this have had anything to do with the fact that I was 30 feet away from a speaker stack 60 feet high? (Yes my ears rang for a day after - yes I need to start wearing ear protection.) But I picked up on a few "2001 - 2010" sound clips that I hadn't heard before. After the letters sank away, I heard the question "What's going to happen?" Followed by the infinitely appropriate answer - "Something wonderful."

And with that, there they were! Karen and I made a circuit around in front of the stage during the first song, the medley. The first picture above is from my seat, and the second picture was from in front of the stage. The barricade was pretty far out from the edge of the stage, and the stage itself was very high, so it's not that much better, and you can see what "keep moving" does to a photo! I wasn't really there for the pictures anyway though, so I didn't mind. I was glad the stage was high, since that meant we didn't really block the view of the people in the front row!
