Flashback
After the exhilaration of hearing a new song, the band took a small step back in time and played "Crystal Ball." For the next song, Tommy had his mandolin. Hmm... "Brave New World?" "Criminal Mind?" As he was talking, JY walked onstage with... an acoustic guitar. That had to mean "Boat On The River!" Sure enough, Tommy said that there were some people he knew from Germany who were at the show, so they were playing "Boat" kind of in their honor. Wow - Jimmy wasn't kidding when he said they were going to play something we hadn't heard in a long time! Not only that, but when they last had this song in the regular set, they were all playing acoustic, gathered at the front of the stage. So it was very cool to hear and see this song performed with everyone spread out over the stage! It sounded great!
After that it was back to more usual songs, and the usual behavior from us, the audience participants! During "Miss America," Tommy was back on his knees, though not quite as directly in front of Micky and me as he was last night. Maybe this is why he only made the corner of this picture!
And can you see what's hanging from Glen's bass? It's the world's largest bra, courtesy of LouAnn! No wonder Glen kept laughing and saying, "OH... MY... GOD!" Later on in the show, the drum kit ended up wearing it!
