Later, in the bar...
After we cleared out of the venue, we were trying to decide whether to have something to eat, just go back to the room, hang out and gamble, or what. When in doubt, follow everyone else over to the bar! LouAnn, Jeff, Dixie, Karen, Laura, John and I went over to the bar and continued our after-show recap. Soon we were joined by Kim and Micky, and a few minutes later, Glen came over too! We mentioned that he had shaved his goatee, and when he said Rosie was glad it was gone, I was relaxed enough to pipe up that a LOT of people would be glad it was gone. Luckily he seems to have as warped a sense of humor as I do, and he laughed and said, "Oh, REALLY?" Sheesh, and I was only drinking Diet Coke! Someone also told him they liked the red stripey pants he'd worn that night, and he told us the crew calls those his "Greg Brady" pants! He was very gracious and stayed and talked with us for a while.
Eventually, everyone including Glen began to peel away, heading either back home or back to our hotels, to get ready to meet up again tomorrow to do it all over again! Kim stayed in the casino a little longer, and Micky, Karen and I took the shuttle (which came by "every ten to twenty minutes" - yeah right) back to our hotel. We kept debating on whether to get something to eat, since we weren't really hungry. Finding that our hotel had one 24-hour restaurant, we went there just to get something light, since we weren't really hungry. As soon as we got seated and opened the menus, guess what - we decided we were hungry after all! We had a nice snack, or breakfast or whatever you want to call it, and went up to our room to try and wind down to sleep. It always takes me longer than just about everyone else. So with Kim out at the casino and me over on my computer, Micky and Karen had their own beds to fall asleep in. Once we figured out the super fancy console that let us turn out the spotlights aimed at the beds, we settled in for the night and didn't even pick a certain time to get up in the morning! (Who's type A?)
What a great day and a fantastic show... next show, tomorrow night!
