Carrots, collectors and redheads

After the house band finished their set, the staff opened up the main floor seating area, and we headed down. We stopped first at the merchandise stand and I talked to Casey for a few minutes. He had some new stuff with the new album name, "Cyclorama," on it, but nothing yet with the new album art, which had just been finalized a day or two before. The only sign was a little carrot on the sleeve of one shirt!

Once we got down to the main floor, I found more people I knew, and met some new folks too! Karen from Atlanta and Debbie were there along with Debbie's daughter and a friend, and Geri and Troy and a couple of his friends were there also. I had never met Troy before, so it was cool to finally put a face to that name!

When our table started to fill up, a woman two seats down from me asked me if I was Kathie. I had no idea who she was or how she would know me, but then she said her name was Julee, and I realized she was the person who had sold me the tickets! She was going to sell the next two also, but then decided to use them herself. I told her she'd be glad she did!

The people who sat across from us were Dina and Tracy. As Dina and I chatted, she found out how far I had traveled to see the show. I never know how people will react, but she said she and her husband traveled sometimes to see someone else, so she understood.  Turns out they are big Sammy Hagar fans, so we talked about him for a while. They were very cool. I have to say, not only am I a Hagar fan myself, but the Redheads I have met have always been quick to welcome me into their circle. There's a family spirit there much like I find among Styx fans. Redheads rock!
