Drying out

After the show, it had kind of stopped raining, and I stayed a while and talked with the couple who had been sitting (well, standing) behind us. They were very impressed with "that new singer" - Lawrence really won them over!

When I got back to my hotel I realized how totally soaked I was - first of all by the look that the guy at the front desk gave me! Then by the fact that I found myself walking at midnight, barefoot and in pajamas, through the hallway of the hotel to put my jeans in the dryer so I could wear them home the next day. No way were they going to dry. My gloves took a day and half to dry out! It was really worth it though - I didn't even end up with a cold, which is amazing for me. This show was a blast!

Driving back home through the mountains the next day, thank goodness there was no rain, but there was a lot of fog and some low wispy clouds because of the remaining moisture. The green countryside seen through the mist made me think I was driving through Brigadoon as it faded away again. Let's hope it's not a hundred years before Styx reappears in Vermont!
