And they're off!

Glen, JY and Tommy - LadyThe show begins with a medley of songs covering a good chunk of Styx history - Tommy and JY trading lead vocals on "Borrowed Time", then instrumental pieces of "Superstars," "Mr. Roboto," "Rockin' The Paradise" and "Pieces Of Eight," then back to "Borrowed Time." It really gets the crowd into the spirit of the evening! The entire band is into it one hundred percent from the very beginning. Todd is an explosion of intensity, Glen is a dynamo, Lawrence is the ultimate entertainer, the joy never leaves Tommy's face for a moment, and JY commands the stage with an incomparable presence. This is a band that delivers one incredible show.

Lawrence - LadyOur seats were over in front of Lawrence's keyboard, so we had a good spot to see some of the interaction that takes place between the band members - some of which may be juuust a little exaggerated for the benefit of the audience! During JY's solo in "Lorelei," Tommy came over, while playing, and sat down on Lawrence's piano stool. Lawrence noticed and went around the keyboard to him - pointed out that this little area was HIS - and shooed Tommy away, saying to him with a wide sweep of his arm,  "you've got the whole ------- stage!" All without missing a beat and all unmiked - just a little comedic production for the people on stage right!
