Eddie Money

We chatted until Eddie Money came onstage - pretty much on the dot of 7pm. He had some work to do to get the crowd into the show at first. A lot of people weren't in their seats yet, and since the sun was still out, the stage was half-sunlit and half-dark - not very effective.

Eddie MoneySomeone should tell performers that when they are at the Tweeter Center they are NOT in Boston. Eddie did get people into some screaming with some trash talk about the Yankees though! At the end of his set he said "Good night Boston, see you in the World Series!" He also talked about the shirt that he was wearing, with his name on the front and picture on the back, and asked people to buy it because the money was going to a children's AIDS foundation. He did a really good job of getting the audience involved, considering most of us were rabid fans of some other band!

Eddie MoneyEddie did about a 40 minute show. I think his first song was "Where's the Party" - his second was "Two Tickets To Paradise," and he also sang "Take Me Home Tonight," "Wanna Go Back", "Shakin'", "Wanna Be A Rock And Roll Star", "Life for the Taking", "Walk On Water", "Baby Hold On", and possibly a couple of others - not necessarily in that order! Before his last song, he said "We're running a little bit over" and said something like "it's not that I don't want to give up the stage, but I don't," or something to that effect. I understand, but Eddie, if you're taking up valuable Styx time, get off the stage, honey. The show has to be over at 11pm because of local noise ordinances, so Eddie, don't run over. Get off the stage, sweetie. J
