We're ready!
8:15, and back down to Bluesville! The doors were open, so we went in. So many people had been able to buy additional tickets, better than their originals, that we were all scrambling to make sure the best tickets were being used so everyone could get as close as possible! As it ended up, it didn't matter much, since we were all mingling around in front of the stage anyway. I was glad to see Laura and Lori, my co-conspirators from the Dells show! I was amazed that security didn't clear us out, but they never did, and when "School's Out" started to play, we all claimed our places! I was directly in front of Glen's microphone, and with the small Bluesville stage, that meant Lawrence was just a few feet away to my left, and JY was a few feet to my right. It really doesn't get much better than that!
As we waited, singing and dancing along, I looked up and down the edge of the stage and saw the expectant faces and the accessories - signs, underwear, stickers, gloves - and I thought okay, they're ready to perform their show; we're ready to perform ours! When we're allowed to be, Styx fans are active participants!
