Winding down
After the show, we're never ready to settle down right away. A bunch of us wanted to get something to eat, but didn't want to go back to the buffet, so we went across the street to the Sheraton, since their cafe was open 24 hours. We asked the waiter if he could give us separate checks, and he said, "Oh... well... what if I bring you everything all together on one check and then you can split it up?" Oh yes - that's exactly like separate checks, thanks very much. But we were in a good mood, so we didn't really care. There were a couple of us in the group who have the curse of being able to do math no matter the time of day or night, so we were fine.
After that, we all went back to our rooms. I went online with my laptop (who's addicted?) to check for new notes on Styxworld - nothing yet though, that came later. Then I uploaded my pictures from my camera to the computer, and we started looking at them, but some lightweights whose names I won't mention conked out on me at about 2:30 and did this sleeping thing that I don't understand. Takes all kinds, I guess! I did finally sleep at about 4 am. I'm only just noticing that other than naps on the plane, that means I had been up for 24 hours. I certainly didn't notice it at the time!
