Pressure!
I really wanted to go to the Tunica show. A lot of the "Styx friendships" I have began by meeting people at Tunica last year! But as I was putting together my schedule for the summer, I had ruled it out. Such a long way, plane fare, time off work, hotel, rental car, and only one show instead of the two in a row Styx often plays at this venue. Then Kelly (she is such a troublemaker) said, "Weren't you going to get a ticket for this show just in case?" Well, I wasn't, but... then I started getting the serious pressure from her and others, like "you can share my hotel room" and "I'll pick you up at the airport so you won't need a car" and "if you stay over Saturday the airfare will be cheaper." Hmm. Next thing I knew, I had a ticket, "just in case," but I was still saying, "I'm not sure I'm coming." To which all the people who know me said "yeah RIGHT." Soon I had vacation time approved and my plane ticket bought - guess I'll be there!
