Everybody sing along!

KevinBruceREO Speedwagon played next. I have really become a fan of this band! They give 100% every night and always put on an amazing show, and they really connect with the audience. I hated that I couldn't stand and yell as much as usual, but because of my head cold, my throat was really dry and I was a little more easily worn out, so I was saving my energy. I still stood when the people around me stood, but I usually instigate that a little more than I did this time!

I could still sing though! A very funny thing happened during the second verse of "Can't Fight This Feeling." Kevin came over to side of the stage where I was, and although I was sitting, I was up on the edge of my seat and singing along. So he stopped in front of me and sang the second verse right at me, with me singing it right back at him! I did flub a couple of words but I got right back on track. Kevin noticed though - when he finished the verse and went to go back to the middle of the stage to sing the chorus, he held up his hand horizontally and teetered it back and forth to say "eh - so-so!"  Sorry Kevin - I'll study for next time!

Dave, BruceThey sang their new song again, and the crowd really seemed to get into it. I believe the name is "Married Man," and it's terrific! They have cut Kevin's spoken intro to "Tough Guys" to make room for it, and they have the "our gang" recorded intro instead. The guys have a lot of fun on the new song and through the whole set. At one point Kevin's wireless sound equipment came off of his belt while he was up at the piano, and he was trying to sing, walk back down the stairs to the main stage, and reattach it, all at once. Bruce and Dave were on one side of the stage laughing, getting quite a kick out of it, and Kevin was laughing too. I'm sure they've all had those moments, and it's nice to see a band comfortable enough to tease like that. (Yes, he did get it clipped back on and all was well!)
