Next band up - Bad Company! I heard some people later say there were some sound problems during this set, but I didn't really hear anything wrong. Paul Rodgers did mention that they had some time constraints, so they'd move right along, and they did a set of seven songs.
The band sounded great and Paul Rodgers was amazing as usual. Dave Colwell was wearing a strangely familiar checkerboard-style pair of leather pants... does he have a whole wardrobe of those or were those the same ones he wore for the 2000 tour?
After the Bad Company set, I think there was going to be another acoustic interval, but there were technical problems. Keith Marks stood on the side of the stage with a guitar in his hand for a good little while before walking away looking a little disgusted! Oh well... we didn't know any better so we couldn't be disappointed. Meanwhile we took time to visit some more with the other Styxfans in the audience!
We
also took notice of someone else killing time - way up in the back,
behind the stage, there was a television. Edith got my attention and and
pointed at the set and said, "Someone's watching baseball!" Game one
of the World Series was on, and someone had flipped channels until they got to
the game! We couldn't see who it was!
