One of the cool things about having two shows in the same place on consecutive nights is that the band realizes that a bunch of the same people will be there both nights, so they usually shake up the set list a little. Saturday night they played a couple of songs I had not heard played live in a long time - "Rockin' The Paradise," which I don't think they had played since middle of last year, and "Everything Is Cool," which is the song they used to open their set with, and they hadn't played that one since April. So that was exciting! It was so weird hearing "Everything Is Cool" in the middle of the show - it's the first time I ever actually HEARD the first verse performed live! Before, I would always be too overwhelmed since they had just stepped on stage! And "Rockin' The Paradise" is the song that Lawrence and I were quoting back and forth to each other on Friday, so that was fun!
Tommy thanked everyone for coming again, saying, "There are always a lot of reasons to stay home and not come to a rock show, but you didn't listen! You came anyway!" He said that before we went home we should stand up and sing along with at least one song - I think he got that wish from everyone! Lawrence also thanked everyone for coming, saying that they knew that people had come from all corners of the country to see the show, and how much they really appreciated that.
