Surprise - Kevin has new stories! He told one about shopping for bananas and diapers at his neighborhood celebrity supermarket, and running into Heather Locklear in the produce section, and Mick Fleetwood in the diaper aisle. Recounting his conversation with Mick led into the next section of the show. Kevin said that he noticed one big parallel between Fleetwood Mac and REO Speedwagon, and that was that both bands had made a lot of albums, but each was known for one hugely successful one. Then he asked how many people there had ever owned, on vinyl, CD, cassette tape or 8-track, a copy of "Hi Infidelity"? There was a huge response - count me in! I have some high school memories to go with that album!
Kevin said that they figured they could play almost any song from that album, and people would know it. They launched into a "Hi Infidelity" mini-set, playing the hits and some others it was fun to hear, like "Out Of Season" and "In Your Letter." They have a very cool backdrop to go along with this segment, based on the cover art from the album. The glowing red areas, especially the candles on the side, are a nice effect. You can't see them in this picture though - sorry!
