This is a rowdy crowd!
I think Glen covered every inch of the arena when he went out into the crowd during "Love Is The Ritual." Before he came out, he said to JY, "This is a rowdy crowd!" I'm glad he noticed before he got out there in the middle of it! It was a good kind of rowdy, though. There was some of the inevitable pushing for position, but nothing that got out of hand, that I saw or felt! Glen climbed up to the top of the bleachers on the sides of the arena and in the back, in addition to roaming all over the floor section.
Everyone else had their chance to shine too - Lawrence mesmerized the crowd during "Suite Madame Blue," JY brought the house down with "Miss America," Tommy inspired the return of the Bic lighter during "Crystal Ball," and Todd is a dynamo (still waiting for that drum solo)! Another nice moment during the show was when they came back out for the encore. They have been playing a couple of verses of ZZ Top's "Tush" before they play "Renegade," but tonight in memory of Waylon Jennings, Tommy sang a verse of "Mamas, Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys" instead. He didn't make any announcement, just sang a few lines... very nice.
